Provenance: The Artist's Studio


With studies of legs verso In 1929, John Luke won second prize for a painting in modern-day dress in the Slade ‘Summer Prize Competition’ with Judith and Holofernes. The painting is now in the collection of Armagh County Museum. Luke’s brother was the model for Holofernes.
